We are amazed when NASA-orbiters find water on Mars, but we have forgotten to be excited about the water that is available to us so self-evidently every day.

Little Big World e.V.'s first project was realized in early 2011 even before the organization's foundation. With donations collected in his hometown Vreden, Andreas Nünning started “India 2011“.

He bought a water-processing unit and had it installed it in Baroda Village, India. The unit is looked after by a local person and can be repaired by a local company in case of failure. To finance the unit's maintenance and necessary repairs, the villagers collect little money for the cleaned water.

During a visit to the village in December 2011 Andreas Nünning and Dietmar Epping had the chance to personally check on the unit and the project's development. The results are gratifyin: the water-processing unit secures the drinking water supply for more than 700 people in Baroda Village.

To ensure the projects continuous success Little Big World e.V.'s member Siegfried Borchert takes care of
“India 2011“'s follow-up.
