Little Big World is a German Non-Governmental Organization implementing various projects for rural areas in India. Therefore, I help to support these young people by working as an intermediary between Germany and India and I stand available for them.

Muni Seva Ashram and Little Big World share common goals and a mission, so it is only natural that they work together.

Given name: Andreas
Last name: Nünning
City: Vreden
Date of birth: 18.08.1987
Occupation: Industrial Manager

Motivation:
850 million people around the world suffer from hunger. 20,000 people die every day from hunger and malnutrition. 170 million children suffer from malnutrition. 1.1 billion people currently have no access to clean drinking water. In developing countries, 80% of diseases and deaths are related to contaminated water.

The fact that I am one of the less than 1% of the world population that has no lack of these basic things, such as an accommodation, daily food or access to clean water, motivates me to create a positive impact out of this extremely comfortable situation and to do what everyone only talks about. Talking does not help the people. I am convinced that by founding Little Big World we created a perfect platform which gives everyone the chance to participate, to introduce his opinion and to really help. A central task of Little Big World will be to convince more people that they are able to change the world and to actually do that.

Garbert

Velen
Date of birth:
11.03.1985
Occupation:
Project Management (sales)

Motivation:
I've noticed in volunteering in Central America and Africa how it is dealt in many cases with international donations. The good will is mostly there, but unfortunately aid projects are often not long-term cared, so that the sustainability of the projects is not always assured. By actively working at Little Big World, I have a clear idea of what happens with the donations and can work to ensure that projects are managed in the long term.

Given name: Melanie
Last name: Vangerow
City: Bocholt
Date of birth: 20.12.1986
Occupation: Student (economics / tourism as major field of study)

Motivation:

Actually, I only had the intention to use my semester break reasonable and to provide development aid. When I joined the association Little Big World it immediately became clear that development aid is a long process and cannot be done “just now” in two months. Behind Little Big World there is a young and creative team who brings different skills in the work of the association actively. This commitment and the sustainability of the projects have impressed me immediately, so I decided to also become a member. I look forward to actively participate in projects and to see that the aid really arrives where it is needed.
